The Snow Queen

Founded in 1977 Arena was the first professional touring Theatre In Education company in Bedfordshire. When on tour we perform twice a day, five days a week in schools, village halls and theatres: audiences averaging 1500 a week. We work right across the school age range and perform in mainstream and special schools. We tour Beds, Bucks, Herts, Northants, Oxfordshire, in fact anywhere we can get home from the same day.

Our Aims

  • Arena aims to empower children through Theatre in Education.

  • Promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly by the encouragement and appreciation of the arts, including drama.

  • To be an aid to literacy and a resource for schools.

  • We aim to provide special schools with fully funded performances.

  • Entertain young people: people learn quickly if they are enjoying themselves.

  • Continue to be the number one Children's Theatre and T.I.E. company in our area.


We are touring The Snow Queen from the beginning of December 2011 to the end of January 2012.
We still have a few spaces in January. Book now to avoid disapointment!

Missing Peace

Our Theatre-in-Education play "Missing Peace" has just had a very successful mini-tour of Luton schools.
