Since 1998, when Helen Lewis retired, the company has been led by Bill Smullen, Brigitte Norcross and Chris Amos. Tina Pritchard is our designer.
Over the years we've built up a pool of actors that we call on when we need them. Brigitte, Chris and Bill have all featured in recent productions.
Bill had three years classical training at the Webber Douglas Academy
of Dramatic Art (1983-86) and has worked in theatre, radio, film etc.
He has now been with Arena for 33 years! Directing plays and playing
many characters in well over a thousand performances.
Our good
friend Chris was taken by cancer recently and is greatly missed.
He trained at Bretton Hall, where he took a degree course in drama. He
worked with Arena for over 20 years.
He was also a playwright whose work has been performed on the fringe in
London and at the Edinburgh Festival.
Brigitte studied Drama and English at Goldsmith's College, London University and is also a qualified teacher. She's been with Arena for 25 years.
